Impact
CAPP-IT
CAPP-IT (Coronavirus-Affected Period Poverty Initiative Team) is a way for community members to directly impact period poverty by making menstrual care packages for donation drives. So far, we've had 6 donation drives to 2 shelters.
Grab-N-Go
SAPP has set up a partnership with the Grab-and-Go meal program at Irvington High school in Fremont, CA as well as James Logan High School in Union City, CA and will donate free menstrual products as needed. Menstrual products will be passed out along with meals.
Menstrual Health Presentations
Check out one of our menstrual health lessons conducted in Irvington High School health classes as well as some of the letters they've written for local legislators to advocate for menstrual equity!
Advocacy
We've been working with assembly member Alex Lee in support of bill AB-367, which would put free menstrual products in CA public secondary school bathrooms.
Partnerships
We partner with local and nationwide nonprofits who supply us menstrual products and that we hold donation drives for.
Recognition
We've had the honor of being commended by Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert and by Assembly Member Alex Lee.
